Scott McTominay has officially conquered Italy and has already been immortalised by the Napoli faithful with a brilliant new nickname.
The Scotland international made the move from Manchester United to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in the summer, and he has wasted no time in becoming a vital part of Antonio Conte’s side.

While fans and media initially dubbed him ‘McTerminator’ and ‘Braveheart’ due to his physical style of play, his teammates have come up with something much more local.
McTominay has revealed that he is now affectionately known as ‘McFratm’ among the squad and the locals in Naples.
The moniker is a play on the Neapolitan word ‘Fratm’, which translates to ‘my brother’ or ‘my bro’. It is a term of endearment that signifies just how quickly the midfielder has been embraced by the city’s culture.

Speaking about the name, McTominay admitted it is his favourite one yet, proving that the bond between the player and the passionate Napoli supporters is growing stronger by the week.
His transition to Serie A has been seamless, with his energetic performances in the middle of the park helping Napoli mount a serious title charge. It seems ‘McFratm’ is here to stay.
